MAKING PEACE WITH CHANGE

Oct 30, 2024

I recently found myself making such rapid changes in my life that I went into a little fear. I started to wonder if I was changing too fast or whether my quest to get to the end of the change cycle I am in was ill placed. All ideas that show me that I have a desire to go fast and a desire to end this cycle of change.

That’s how I see change in us. It comes in waves and cycles. For me, I experience change in bursts of inspiration and big ideas, which I then implement in my life. When I do so, I see results, which motivates me to lean into the change cycle and see what else it is bringing me. And when I do this with a positive attitude of success, I see big results.

Many of us come to change with a lot of fear. Here is what that sounds like:

I can’t make this new habit stick.

I can’t make myself do this thing I think I should do.

I’m not capable of reaching this goal.

These ideas—which are false and thus are fear-based ideas—are blocks to accomplishing the change that you want to create in your life. The solution? Clear your blocks and start practicing some new ideas.

When people say that all healing is self healing, here is what they mean: The ideas that hold you back are yours. The beliefs that put your down are yours. The continued practice of self negating ideas is all yours.

Which is awesome news, as that means that those ideas are within your power to change.

All true change in my life came after I did mindset work first. All lasting change in my life is sustained by continued mindset work. All my biggest goals were accomplished first in my mind, and then in my life.
